Adaptation Planning

Adaptation Planning

We help countries develop comprehensive national and regional adaptation strategies to respond to the growing impacts of climate change. This includes conducting analytical studies, vulnerability assessments, and risk mapping, which inform evidence-based policy planning and investment decisions. By identifying climate risks and adaptation needs, our support enables governments to prioritize interventions and integrate resilience measures across sectors.

Local adaptation strategies and disaster risk reduction are central to our work. We assist in designing nature-based solutions, community-based adaptation initiatives, and infrastructure improvements that enhance resilience at the municipal and regional levels. We also facilitate coordination between national and local authorities, ensuring that adaptation measures are practical, scalable, and informed by local needs.

Capacity building and stakeholder engagement are essential elements of our approach. We organize training, workshops, and multi-stakeholder consultations to strengthen the ability of government officials, local authorities, and communities to plan, implement, and monitor adaptation measures. Gender inclusivity and equity are prioritized throughout all capacity-building activities. We ensure that women and other underrepresented groups actively participate in trainings, workshops, and exchanges, fostering equitable knowledge transfer and empowering local actors to lead adaptation and resilience efforts.
